J2 industries is an Ontario-based AI film studio and AI film production company, founded by multi-award-winning AI filmmaker James Mitchell. It exists to find out how far AI-assisted filmmaking can go in the places it usually falls short: action, character acting and story. The aim with every film is to make the work as photorealistic as it can be, and to keep pushing the limits of what AI filmmaking can do. James works as sole crew — writer, director, cinematographer, editor, voice director and composer — imagining and creating every script and every shot, the performances, the choreography, the beats. The AI just renders it at cinematic quality.

Hyakki Yagyō | Tower of 100 Demons has won four awards: Best Action Film at the Neu Wave AI Film Festival, Best AI Director of the Future and Best AI Fantasy at the World AI Cinema Festival in Cannes, and the Pippit Elite Storytelling Award. It was also an official selection at the AI Movie Awards in London, the LifeArt AI Global Film Festival and the AI ZONE International AI Film Festival. It leads a slate of original series alongside The Last Vanguard and Guardians of Earth, with new AI short films landing on the J2i YouTube channel regularly.
