This site, j2industries.com, is operated by J2i Inc., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada, trading as J2 industries. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit the site.
The short version: the site has no accounts, no shopping and no contact form. The only personal information we ask you for is an email address, and only if you choose to join the mailing list.
What we collect
Your email address, if you give it to us
If you sign up for updates, your email address is sent to Kit (kit.com), the email provider we use to send the mailing list. Kit stores your address and the date you subscribed. We use it only to tell you when a film is released or something is worth knowing about. We do not sell it, rent it or pass it to anyone else.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Using it removes you from the list immediately.
Email you send us
The contact page opens your own email application; there is no form on this site that collects what you write. If you email us, the message sits in our mailbox, which runs on Google Workspace, until we no longer need it.
Technical information, automatically
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the IP address and request details of every visit in order to deliver pages and to protect the site from attack and abuse.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are read and how quickly they load. It is a privacy-first, aggregate service: it sets no cookies, does not track you between websites, and does not identify individual visitors.
One cookie, for language
This site is published in 26 languages. When you choose a language, we store a cookie named lang containing nothing but that language code, so the site opens in the same language next time. It lasts one year, it is readable only by this site, and it is used for nothing else. It is a strictly functional cookie and it carries no identifier.
Third parties whose code runs on these pages
Google AdSense
We show advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies and use them to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites. We do not receive or store that data ourselves.

Google Fonts
Typefaces load from Google's font servers, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
YouTube video
Videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), so YouTube does not store cookies on your device until you actually play something. Once you press play, Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to that playback.
This site also uses YouTube API Services to display public statistics for our own channel. By using this site you are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's privacy practices are set out in the Google Privacy Policy.
Instagram and TikTok
We use the Instagram Graph API and the TikTok Display API to show follower and view counts for our own accounts. These requests are made from our server to those platforms and ask only about J2 industries' own public account figures. No information about you is sent to them, and nothing about you is requested from them.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
- We do not build profiles of visitors or track you across other websites ourselves.
- We do not ask for payment details; nothing is sold through this site.
- We do not require an account to read anything here.
Where the information goes
J2i Inc. is in Canada. The services above — Cloudflare, Kit, Google — process data on servers in the United States and elsewhere. Sending your email address to the mailing list means it will be stored outside Canada.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@j2industries.com and we will deal with it.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and the GDPR give you those rights plus the right to object to processing, the right to portability, and the right to complain to your data protection authority. Where we rely on consent — the mailing list — you can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing. Our other processing rests on legitimate interests in running and protecting the site.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect and to ask for deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the CCPA.
In Canada, this site is subject to PIPEDA, and you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their email address, email us and we will remove it.
How long we keep things
Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Email correspondence is kept while it is useful and then deleted. Cloudflare's logs and analytics follow Cloudflare's own retention periods and are not under our control.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced on this page.
